Kristen Hunsberger, MA Licensed Professional Counselor

Kristen believes in authentic relationships and living. She knows that life will be life in all of its forms (pain and beauty). Kristen tenaciously pursues wholehearted living, and the idea of fully embracing life which requires immense courage to actually be present in the lives that we have. She relentless pursues wholehearted living in her own life, and passionately enjoys journeying with others as they too pursue healing and hope. Kristen counsels from her acquired knowledge and education, as well as from her vast life experiences. She feels so privileged to get to do this work and to have a front row seat to human courage.

Kristen is an alumni of Cedarville University, with a degree in Applied Psychology. She has her masters in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. She has worked in the clinical setting as a licensed therapist for over seventeen years, doing mostly one on one counseling ranging from post traumatic stress issues to depression, life transitions, anxiety, and everything in between. She also had the privilege of working at an inpatient treatment home for young women, and developing the day program curriculum for Well of Grace Ministries. She currently teaches for the psychology department at Hope College in addition to counseling.  Kristen also enjoys public speaking, and presents at various conferences and events.

When Kristen is not immersed in counseling or teaching,  she enjoys hanging out with her 4 amazing boys, hiking, and puzzling while listening to a good audio book. She also enjoys good food and laughter with dear friends who feel like family.
